Gaah, There’s Terrorists In Our Prisons!
Posted by Connor under: Politics .
Head for the hills residents of Monroe and Washtenaw Counties, Michigan! The Fed’s are housing terrorists in Milan. Well, one, alleged terrorist anyway. The suspect in the Christmas Eve abortive pants bombing has been transferred to a facility there.
Without a doubt, airline security is important and needs to be improved. However, the TSA’s current policies are, to put it mildly, pretty sad. And that’s not just me saying it. It is law enforcement professionals. And the whole policy ratcheting up the inconvenience, a.k.a. closing the barn door after the horses have not only left but are in the next county, is preposterous and innefective.
The attacks of 9/11 employed the oldest and most useful tactic in warfare, surprise. No one really thought that anyone would have the balls to commandeer a jumbo jet full of innocent people and then deliberately fly those planes and people into “targets.” The effectiveness of that tactic did not even last out that dismal day, as those aboard Flight 93 proved. It was proved again when the “shoe bomber” was subdued by his potential victims and again this weeks as the “pants bomber” was also prevented from doing his thing by his supposed victims.
In all actuality, most of the pre-9/11 security regimes — which pretty conclusively prevent firearms or large explosives from being brought aboard — along with the sure knowledge of passengers that their lives are surely on the line is probably as sure a method of preventing repeats of those events as we are likely to get.

“No one really thought that anyone would have the balls to commandeer a jumbo jet full of innocent people and then deliberately fly those planes and people into “targets.””
Well, I don’t know about that, Cman……
Tom Clancy saw it coming in his 1994 book “Debt of Honor”, where “an embittered Japan Air Lines pilot, avenging the deaths of his son and brother—killed during the Pacific conflict—flies his Boeing 747 directly into the U.S. Capitol building during the proceedings. Nearly the entire United States presidential line of succession is eliminated, including the President, most of Congress, nearly all of the Cabinet, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and all nine Supreme Court Justices.”

I often wondered, in the aftermath of 09/11/2001, why I heard almost nothing in the media about this parallel to Clancy’s book.
A Googling of-’tom clancy, Debt of Honor, 9/11′ turns up very little, except this…

Interesting………

I am currently tracking media blips re:Blackwater\Xe\U S Training Center.
This interesting nugget has recently come up on my radar,

I’m not into conspiracy theories, but if you’ve been tracking Bw\Xe\USTC\Eric Prince, this one’s getting kinda sexy.
Whatta think the odds are that Bw\Xe\USTC could become the first nuclear armed corporation?
Remember what Tom Clancy said about 9/11,
“Four planes? That many people willing to die for the same cause at the same time? If any writer had turned in a story like this, the publisher would have just handed it back and said, ‘No way. Not believable.’ ”
We’ve seen stranger things in our own lifetimes…….
