		<description><![CDATA[I know, I know. It&#8217;s only been a few days and I&#8217;m back at the politics. In my defense, this is technology and social-networking related. It seems Sen. Grassley has discovered twitter and fired off the above tweets over the weekend. When questioned by reporters as to whom in his office had been posting for him, Iowa&#8217;s Senior Senator replied, &#8220;D00dz! I&#8217;m in ur Senat ownz0ring your laws!&#8221; Seriously though, Grassley proudly claimed personal ownership of the tweets in question. My response was beaten to press by Wonkette&#8217;s Sara Smith by a few hours: Remember back in 1780-something, when we had actual smart people writing our founding documents in beautiful longhand when they weren&#8217;t inventing new kinds of ploughs and bifocals and shit? Now our nation&#8217;s top legislators just type away like petulant teenage girls, with their thumbs, about how the president is so awful for spending the weekend in Paris. We are all stupider for having read this. Can a brother get an Amen? Look, if you don&#8217;t honestly understand some form of new media or technology then you might want to develop at least a partial understanding of it before diving right into it. <p>Look, if you don&#8217;t honestly understand some form of new media or technology then you might want to develop at least a partial understanding of it <em>before</em> diving right into it.  For most people diving right in is no problem, they make mistakes, get mentored by friends and co-workers, gently get ribbing for being a complete noob, etc. as they climbe the learning curve.</p>
<p>Doing this completely out in the open and combining it with daft content&#8230;  its a whole new level of FAIL.</p>
